FAQs

What exactly is Cuneflow?

Cuneflow is an AI-powered E-Ink notebook designed for people who take a lot of meetings. You write and talk naturally — the way you've always done. Behind the scenes, the AI is listening, structuring, and thinking alongside you: generating live summaries, capturing decisions, flagging action items, and tracking how topics shift throughout the conversation. When the meeting ends, your notes are already done.

How is Cuneflow different from Otter.ai, Granola, or Notability?

Otter and Granola are great — but you're looking at a screen during the meeting, not at the people in the room. Notability gives you a beautiful writing surface, but no AI. Cuneflow is built around paper first. You stay present, you write naturally, and the AI does the work of a skilled meeting scribe without you having to think about it.

What does the AI actually do during a meeting?

A lot, quietly. Cuneflow maintains a live, scrolling summary as the meeting progresses — structured by topic, decisions, and action items — so you can glance at it anytime without breaking focus. When someone raises a question, it quietly prepares a context-aware answer draft. When the conversation stalls, it nudges with a thoughtful prompt. When a decision is made, it asks you to confirm and locks it into the record. None of this interrupts you. It just... handles it.

Can I use Cuneflow without my phone?

Yes. The device works completely independently during meetings. Start a session, write, record — no phone, no laptop, no pairing needed. The app is for reviewing and sharing afterward, not for running the meeting itself.

How accurate is the transcription?

For all 11 supported languages — English, Chinese, French, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic — accuracy is well above 95% in normal meeting conditions. Heavy accents, fast speech, or noisy environments will reduce it. When something is unclear, the AI marks it, fills in the probable content from context, and leaves it for you to confirm. No silent gaps, no missing ideas.

Does it work offline?

Recording, handwriting, and basic note-taking work fully offline. Real-time AI features — live summaries, decision detection, and AI prompts — need a connection. Everything queues up and syncs automatically once you're back online.

Can I export my notes?

Yes, completely. Notes export as plain text, structured markdown, or PDF. Meeting summaries can be sent directly to Slack, Email, Notion, Google Drive, or OneDrive. Your data is yours — no proprietary lock-in.

What happens to my notes if Cuneflow shuts down?

Your notes are yours, always. All content exports anytime in open formats. There is no dependency on Cuneflow's servers for accessing your own data.

Do I need to change how I take notes?

No. Open the device, start the meeting, write. The AI works quietly in the background and learns your meeting style over time. You don't fill in templates. You don't press record. You just show up and think.
